How often do you receive spam calls?

I would say at least 3 days a week. Especially on Fridays. Friday is a free for all for spam calls, I easily get 10 calls every Friday if not more.
 
Irregular, but I have had days where I received up to three on a single day. These are the ones not caught by call screening.

The problem I have is that I need to take every call.

Also, some agents don't know when to stop and this is annoying AS. Things like this change my perception. I don't want your mobile contracts, I don't want your internet contracts...
 
6 - 10 calls a day ( human and robo ) on a new number.

*edit* Just had call number 3 and it's only 10h00

According to my phones call history, several a day, most days. But thanks to the Samsung S26 call screening, none ever come through. That alone makes the phones price worth it.
 
Phone number been shared to the third parties when you fill in your details etc.
 
Not daily, but at least a few times a week.

Primarily all from ABSA trying to upsell me on a credit card I don't use anymore. I've probably hung up on them about 100 times yet they keep trying. Maybe the call centre has some kind of bounty for the person that eventually gets me to respond to them.

Supposedly. For me it lasted awhile, but then started again. You have to opt out every three years.

I never get called directly by service providers, almost, always agencies. ABSA and FNB keeps on phoning wanting to sell policies.

This is spam though, scam is a whole other horse.
 
1) Ensure your Text Message app is set to default to the Google one, not your built in Samsung or otherwise. This has a very good shared Spam number repository

2) Same as above, ensure you are using the Google Phone app, not the defaulted Samsung or otherwise. Be sure to add Spam numbers from calls you receive that was not automatically filtered

3) If and when you receive a person on a spam call, politely thank them for their time, and request formally that your number be removed from their lists. They are legally required to comply.

Over time, you'll end up with next to none of these ridiculous "marketing" ploys arriving on your phone.

Honestly, I'd like to meet the people who actually buy anything from this form of Marketing. Cold Calling as a job is a miserable experience, but clearly it works or it wouldn't still be in existence!
