FA Youth final - United vs Citeh

Missed the first half but from what I’ve seen in the [emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]]nd our lads are very passive compared to the city team. Struggling to get combinations going and not much in front of goal. City dominating the game

It was poor, players were disjointed, couldn't keep the ball, didn't go forward as a team, didn't defend as a team. Everyone looked off the pace.

So apparently there was a bunch of shenanigans - which Fletcher was throwing his toys and complaining about the FA organisation that contributed to the poor display - dunno maybe Fletcher was trying to deflect how poorly we performed...

Well, some bad news for you. Carrick is about to be appointed as coach for two years, with option for another year.

That is awesome news! Why is it bad? 2 years with a further option, if next season he does well again United just has to buy the players we need to compete for the league.

The plus point is now we have a coach, approaching our targets with a coach in place gives us a better chance to attract players

If it was 5 years then it would have been bad news. The only bad news is IF Carrick goes the way Ole did we would be set back by another 5 years (i.e player power - bringing back Rashford et en al)

And here I thought I had read a number of posts from you saying Carrick shouldn't be coach going forward...

I was pointing out his some flaws but majority was at Mainoo not getting the chance where all the press was saying how Mainoo as the next best CDM since slice bread

If you say so.

I'm just happy he got appointed.

Ole's downfall was signing Ronaldo back, we were doing decently before that.

He finished 2nd and 3rd, reached the final of Europa and only lost out on penalties to Villareal, he also had an unbeaten run of 29 games.

but his man management was the start of our spiral downwards... and this is why Garnacho, Rashford and Mainoo thought they were bigger than the club

Where did Mainoo think he was bigger than the club?

Let's see chain of events... Amorim plays Rashford, Mainoo and Garnacho, suddenly Rashford and Garnacho both get left out of squad for disciplinary reasons, Garnacho comes back but Rashford is left out... then Mainoo's suddenly disappearance from the starting lineup and reports states his camp was demanding a big salary increase from 20k to 180k, he starts missing games... seems like a trend

Happened to Onana after his demand for a salary increase then his Grimsby performance showed him the door... the same match that Mainoo started in midfield

Seems like there is some kind of trend...

Another kicker for me was during the Jan transfer window his camp again demands another salary increase - using Chelsea as a bargaining tool...

Similar to what happend to Garnacho saying he refuses to go anywhere except Chelsea...

Maybe im joining too many dots... but we have been given 0 explanation why he couldnt even make match day squad for Amorim...

You are smoking your dots. Nothing there suggests he had anything like the attitude of Garnacho and Rashford. Their ego's were their own creations, and nothing to do with the manager man-management.

As for Kobbie's salary negotiations, he was wanting a salary increase once he burst onto the scene and made the England squad. Pretty damn reasonable in the EPL.

And yes, that is another reason why Amorim had to go - he could not give any reason. We've seen the impact Mainoo has made since Carrick immediately brought him back.
