Chinese cars, are they as bad as everyone thinks?

I drove behind a brand new Jaecoo vehicle this morning, decked out with Group 1 dealer advertisements, it's brake light were on permanently. That doesn't bode well, if a brand new dealer car is driving around with electrical issues, how much more will the normal guy that buys these vehicles not have the same, or worse, issues.

How do you call 6km/L bad? Just your inate bias coming through....
Only seen this idiotic post now. You should first learn to read, then you would probably make less stupid posts
the person my be crawling along at 5km/h in Fourways traffic every day where any ICE would be inefficient. This is the reason why hybrids exist. If its true then the owner is at fault for not getting a car that bet matches their values and driving conditions. My H6 hybrid (old version) got 6,7L/100km in mostly urban peak hour sandton driving
Well the person did not complain, just told me what the fuel consumption is. Their other car is a D/C land cruiser. The Haval is mostly used for picking up kids and town driving

Geely seems to be smashing fuel efficient records with their new hybrid engines - hitting 2.22 l/100km for a mid size SUV on a highway. They are also slowly building a stake in Mercedes Benz shares so its interesting time ahead for Germany

Bit slow are you? :)

REVIEW | Changan CS75 Pro: Big on space and value, light on refinement

VERDICT

The CS75 Pro makes a strong case for itself with generous space, solid equipment levels and impressive value for money, even if it lacks the polish and modern sophistication of newer rivals. It’s a comfortable, practical family SUV that feels a step behind in refinement, but still delivers where it counts for the price.

Interesting. It could be a bad driver with foot troubles riding the brakes. About 25% of the Cherry cars I stop behind have one or more brake lights out (various models) which bugs me.

Well VW's was well known for decades for left brake light bulb that blows often. Not a big deal if that is the only problem.

It was solid on for quite a few km's. My friends chery tiggo7 has been reliable, with the only issue being rear lights. So the Chinese has to work on that.

Another 350k ev! Really good battery warranty with it.
