I dunno, its like the expressionism in afrikaans. Nani, baka etc just doesnt come across as well in EnglishQuite funny having watched as much as I have and you start recognising voices, both japanese and english. English dubs are far far superior nowadays compared to the old days. Though Kenshin still feels cheesy.
I've been reading a ton of LN's the last year or so, including re:zero and I still enjoy watching the animes even knowing whats coming. It does not let up.Yooh this season is great. Absolute mind ****

man that was peak back when it came out and still is for what it is.Introduced my kids to Naruto. They are enjoying it so far.
My son discovered one piece on crunchiroll and started watching that. I found it brainless for the little I watched, especially compared to Naruto. The depth of the world building/magic system (ninjitsu) in Naruto just makes is so much better than anything I saw in one piece.man that was peak back when it came out and still is for what it is.
Naruto seems plain not so deep, but it is actually really deep story with good phycological things to ponder about. For example, the fox, how he deals with it, <then rest I can say lol - well until you watched shippuden as well>. Also, about perception, who is what really and sometimes you do things for reasons abc and not like it outwards apparent. So yeah... enjoy it.My son discovered one piece on crunchiroll and started watching that. I found it brainless for the little I watched, especially compared to Naruto. Yep. I am a big Brandon Saunderson fan in the fantasy books world and he speaks a lot about the rules of world building and magic systems. Limitations are as important as the actual powers in magic systems and Naruto really nailed that. In a world where ninjitsu is king a character like Rock Lee or Gai are amazing foils. The infinite variety of the various blood line limits and how they combine multiple streams. Not all as well explained as Saunderson did but still amazing depth to it if you think about it. Naruto had some deep thinkers writing that script. Walks circles around something like dragon ball Z, or one piece. Not that it does not have some shallow characters, some aged tropes (the ever present lovable pervert character), etc. It was still a great world even if you did not like all the characters. I read the manga to the end eventually not so much for the main 3 characters. I found the side characters and their development far more interesting.Naruto seems plain not so deep, but it is actually really deep story with good phycological things to ponder about. I've just been letting Crunchyroll suggest the next anime to watch. Remake our life, Haibara's Teenage New Game+We've also now started "JUJUTS KAISEN"
Enjoying the story, but need titles we can watch with the kiddos, not overly graphic in violence or psychological content.
We're getting back into Anime and manga, which have once again shown how good they are at storytelling, world-building, and character development. Showing how meagre and timid Western cartoons are.
Thanks to @Lupus for recommending Crunchyroll.
True, but the kiddos can't exactly watch something like JUJTSU KAISEN, Re:ZERO, Daemons of the Shadow Realm or Black Clover. A Bit too graphic for them.I've just been letting Crunchyroll suggest the next anime to watch. Remake our life, Haibara's Teenage New Game+
