Sold the other half of my SOL shares at R223.00 today - gonna be a bit a tax knock if I don't sell any of my loss shares.

Got quite a lot of cash in my share account now, waiting for a strong pull-back
That's a sweet price. I sold 5800 shares at R220. The rest is gravy now.

Same here, even though the tax man fscks me every year. Maybe I must dump some big losers, which I have a few of. :ROFL:

My ZAR stocks are just doing so badly. But it is what it is.

There are very few of my stocks doing the heavy lifting. Most of my picks are deep in the red. For a lot of things I thought I was buying low - then they went lower.

Is Sasol at the bus stop now to get off on? Took early profit on early trades...maybe perhaps dipped in again expecting a R250... why do I do this to myself 😂🤣🥲🥲and Prosus...baby don't hurt me.

So whats the best cost and entry point for armchair guys to buy global shares... seems like EE pulled the handbrake on people ...
Nee fok I donno. I am an armchair guy. If you look at this, the share price was pretty flat for quite some time.

There are many more experienced okes here who can give opinions. I am not one of them.

Sometimes you just have to go in and there's luck involved. Looking at the trade above from W@P, he bought R1m of AMD after the share price had just increased by 60% in a month (so bought the top at the time), and then was 20% down for several months until it started going up again in March. For most of that time it would have seemed like a bad trade.

True that, not so long ago people were calling AMD "Advanced Money Destroyer", now it's "Advanced Money Dispenser" :P

what? 😂

Turkey = 43%
Egypt = 30%

South Africa = 4%

Argentina was removed because it was, well...

Our target is now 3% gona see interest rates elevated for a long time but I guess inflation will stay under control...

Things seem quiet here...profit taking... consolidation... whats going on... cancelled gains i hope not 😂🤣🥲
Bit OT but anyway.

I discovered both of my boys have R425k each in a fixed-term savings acc with Capitec.
I assumed there were a couple of hundred rands in both accounts since I haven't used them in ages.

Fsck me sideways when I logged in to their accounts and saw that. Then I remembered it was money that my father gave to them from my mother's estate when she passed away in 2022. They are maturing in Aug 2027. I have no idea what the interest rate was when I did the fixed term. Will find out and compare the penalty if I withdraw early and invest in an ETF or something, and if it is worth it.

I even picked a tear when I discovered this. My father provided and planned ahead like a machine when he was still well and alive.

Not at the moment, will be looking at that Space x one but sitting on the sideline for now, maybe worth a small gamble for quick buck..?

Who is buying into the SpaceX IPO ?

Oh hell no, the numbers don't add up...

100x revenue and over 220x EBITDA

Even NVDA is around 38x

SpaceX is starting at $135 per share, I reckon that could tank in the coming months down to a more human level of around $25-$35 a share, would give the company around a $300bn market cap.
