Does anyone have one of those indoor trainers that attach to your bikes back wheel? How does it work, is it like a spinning bike, what sets the 'tension', etc.?

yup, its called a wind trainer. Read up on some reviews and definitely get a decent make. I have found mine has somewhat "warped" my frame, so try not to stick ur nice carbon fibre bike on it.

Its a damn good workout, but u need a fan or somethign near you, overheating is an issue.

I have a mountain bike :) Trek 4900 - I just thought it'd be useful for days when I can't get to muaythai or gym - cycling in front of the TV might work - also worried i get loose and plough through the TV.

Bwhahahaha rapid that would seriously be funny, your flippin going insane and the thing drops the bike. OMW that would youtube worthy :p

Those little things are quite expensive. I rather bought an exercise bike, though it hurts my ass.

A decent spinning bike is 4k plus though... I see they had one of these wind things that attaches to a screen and plays pretty scenery for you as you cycle :p

Yeh - wonder what insurance would say :p
Them: "What happened to your LCD, sir?"
Me: "I cycled through it at 60km/h."

I have the Kicker Core, got it before the zwift cog thing was released.

I ride on Rouvy. Have a computer connected to a TV and it works flawlessly.

My FIL has a Saris training and from what we can tell they are basically the same. The Saris has a slightly higher weight flywheel.

That looks like a rather good price!

It is a very good price but limited with the cog to Zwift

Yoh I don't know about versions but a quick chatgpt makes it look like the v2 is to support zwift and there aren't any other meaningful changes outside of the zwift platform. Maybe dig into it a bit more this weekend

Will do, thank you

I don't live in Cape Town and bought directly from wahoo. Delivery was very quick.

However, CWC has a good reputation so if you ever did need support they should be able to help
