That entire showcase, and the game I'm looking forward to the most, is the new Spyro

Gears was ... more Gears, which isn't bad, but the rest pretty meh.

I mean, you can only play a Halo remake so many times before you had enough. Let the Playstation fans have a turn. We'll swap you for Wolverine..
 
All I saw at that Xbox Showcase was 'Play day-one on Game Pass' over and over again.

Don't get me wrong, Gears: E-Day looks incredible, but they didn't show any multiplayer or Horde mode.

Bring on Emergence Day!!! Can't wait!!!

If they are are hardup for more game sales they could even have gone just XB, PC and.... Switch 2.
PS5 is their biggest console competitor. Not so much Nintendo.

Based on the two recent showcases (PS and Xbox) and upcoming games, the scorecard (based on exclusives coming soon) for anyone that hasn't yet bought a current gen console is something like:
PS5: 16
vs
XBox: 2.

Like stealing candy from a baby...
 
I am looking forward to the Doom DLC (I will buy that) and Gears. I am just sad that my 2y Gamepass sub expires in Sept.

What is the 16 games? I can only think of Laufey and Wolverine.

I bought my PS5 for exclusives (last year just after DS2 came out). After Yotei its been sitting waiting for something decent to come out.

I honestly regret buying the PS5 and every State of Play I sniff up hopium that my opinion will change.

People who play the exclusives lines as its a big GOTCHA puzzle me because the better value for me has always been the Xbox - even though the financials and stats don't align with my use case.

True that. Ive had a PS5 and Now the series X.
The value you get from ultimate gamepass alone is way better than that of Sony's PS Plus.

Also, I have a gaming PC therefore sharing the ultimate game pass between these two devices is a win-win.

Could be less. Dunno. Don't have the time to scour the internet to read up on all those games.
But fact is (and it's something that many Xbox fans share with me as voted by on the "what does fans want poll") Xbox should not put the PS5 logos on the games shown at their showcase. Keep it hush. Let the people google it and do their homework.

The average person or new potential customer just checks these two events and see what appears to be a lot more exclusivity being promised by PS versus Xbox doing some advertisements of games coming for other consoles as well...

Sad Nuetella realized he made a booboo at last earning call and they using a new face to walk back loads of changes they forced Phill to make eg price hikes and such.

Phill did not force the 30% profit margin, Microsoft did.

Also seems you can vault straight over stuff now instead of covering first which will change the dynamic quite a bit.

Game overall seemed to have less “square movement”

Someone posted about looking for a second hand PS5 earlier? Sell it to them.

Although I'm not sure how you have gone through all the historical PS exclusives in a year or so....

It looks like a good Gears game, if you're already a fan. I could never quite get into the franchise. I like cover shooters for the most part but there just wasn't ever a compelling enough story for me with it.
