Personal information of cannabis users in South Africa exposed on the Internet

The personal records of over 88,000 South Africans who are members of a platform called Cannabis Club Systems have been exposed to the Internet.

This included thousands of photographs of South African identity cards and passports, which were left accessible on a public URL, an independent security researcher has discovered.

Then stupid prizes for stupid people i guess
It's not illegal to smoke weed. Neither can HR do anything if you smoke it in your free time. The only time it can be an issue is if they have zero tolerance policies such as at mines etc. where they routinely test for substances during medicals.

Nobody said it was illegal. But your information is now publicly accessible and you buy weed.

Good luck with that.

HR has entered the chat…..
Some time ago, I was assigned a developer who was pretty damn useful. I used to be middle management, but hated managing staff, so I always ended up with fresh out of uni or old senile motherfuckers.

Now, this guy was appointed as a C++ developer to do maintenance, but he was rewriting code all over the place in different languages. I ended up calling him Bizzy (after Bismarck du Plessis in rugby, because he never got tired).

I found out afterwards, this guy was a chain weed smoker who disliked washing which explained why he was always working alone - nobody wanted to get close to him.

Word reached top management and I was told to have a word with him. I told them that the guy was the embodiment of Jesus Christ himself and he was doing more work than my entire team combined, so I'm not going to do anything, besides, I'm not HR.

Turns out somebody did say something to him because he just stopped showing up for work. Never formally resigned or anything.

So, I have no issue with weeding and working especially if it decreases cycle time

And? We can just make the assumption that 80% of anyone buys weed and most of the time it would be accurate.

Complete non-event.
