DStv website hit by outage

The DStv website was hit by an outage on Thursday, 11 June 2026, hours before the FIFA World Cup was scheduled to kick off with a match between Bafana Bafana and Mexico in Mexico City.

Attempting to access the website where people can sign up and manage their subscription results in an HTTP 503 Service Unavailable server error.

wouldn’t you know it? dstv worked just well enough to allow me to reactivate my premium subscription, but not well enough for me to find the option to pick a different package.

also, why is it so hard to find a different package on their site/app? is it intentional so that people can never downgrade?
