Women's T20 world cup 2026 in England

That first game was disappointing and their record against Pakistani is a mixed bag. In addition to a tough group. They could be out before they even get into some form.

When’s last did Luus score?
Luus is either out for under 8 or 40+...

Frustrating player to follow.

I also wonder why she doesn't bowl at all any more? Her average must be on a par with, or better than Tryon's. I haven't actually scrutinized their respective bowling stats. Maybe @stefan9 could be a deep dive for perspective?

I feel her selection in the side as an out and out batter is a hard sell. If she's bowling, then not...

Jeez, that was hard work. Made complete heavy weather of that chase. But a win is a win in greater scheme of things.
Protea ladies like a bit of drama and there was lots of it in yesterday's fixture.

The India fixture looms large. Likely to be a quarter final in the context of the group standings. Winner progresses to the SF.

What makes the Proteas such a dangerous T20 side is the number of match winning batters in the lineup.

Nadine, Laura, Chloe, Kayla, Kapp.. any one of them can deliver a match winning innings at any time. I feel our bowling is a bit underwhelming at present.

Anyway, they seem to be a side that builds momentum as the tourney progresses. Here's hoping they peak at the right time.

Haha. I wouldn't say they like the drama but they certainly do seem to find themselves in it from time to time. Agree with you though. Hopefully they are building up their form as the tournament progresses.

That game last night should not have been as close as it was but I think they will definitely be better off for coming through it the way they did. It showed character (despite what it did to my nerves and fingernails!).

We have performed well against India in T20's recently, so hopefully they take confidence from that going into that crucial match.

She isn't really used unless the other side has lots of left handers.
When she bowled legspin she was a better bowler then Chloe. Over the past 12 months bowling records are very similar.

Problem with replacing her is both reserves hardly scored a run in the warmup games. So unless you gamble on Taz or Dane finding their form in an actual game its hard to make a change.
