Women's T20 world cup 2026 in England

She isn't really used unless the other side has lots of left handers.
When she bowled legspin she was a better bowler then Chloe. Over the past 12 months bowling records are very similar.

Problem with replacing her is both reserves hardly scored a run in the warmup games. So unless you gamble on Taz or Dane finding their form in an actual game its hard to make a change.
I'd definitely start Dane against Netherlands and Bangladesh. I'd get her bowling too. Too good an all rounder not to find form. Worth the risk imho.

EDIT: Tamin's lack of form is both frustrating and perplexing. She's gone from record breaking to drought. Her and Laura opening the batting was developing into quite a devastating partnership.

To be fair to the coach and selectors, there are actually so many viable permutations to selecting a game day XI. As is often the trick in picking a side, getting the balance right can be the difference between a W or a L...

I just feel if Sune and Dane started and if both were bowling, that gives Laura bowling options.

Problem is you would have to drop Kayla or Chloe for Dane. Both are struggling a bit with the bat but fairly solid in the field. Taz is nowhere at this point.. .batting and catching. Not sure what happened there since those were her strong points

Damn really need Laura to score some runs. She is not getting enough strike hence not getting any rhythm.
They should open with Reynecke as a Lee replacement

Yeah. Finding the right balance is both key and extremely challenging.

Yes they made heavy weather of it, but to say it should have been a breeze is kind of wrong. Facing 4 spinners on that worn surface chasing is tough. Pakistan kind of helped us with dropped catches and some poor bowling at times.

Well, at 50/8 after 10 overs, yes, it should have been a breeze.

To post 126 and then knock over 8 SA wickets is a remarkable comeback.

Such is the nature of T20 I guess.

It is what it is...

Protea ladies like a bit of drama and there was lots of it in yesterday's fixture.

The India fixture looms large. Likely to be a quarter final in the context of the group standings. Winner progresses to the SF.

What makes the Proteas such a dangerous T20 side is the number of match winning batters in the lineup.

Nadine, Laura, Chloe, Kayla, Kapp.. any one of them can deliver a match winning innings at any time. I feel our bowling is a bit underwhelming at present.

Anyway, they seem to be a side that builds momentum as the tourney progresses. Here's hoping they peak at the right time.
after that opening pair the other night the only decent bowler was the blond spinner...the others were horrible...India in form will be a different prospect than the team who was here...

Some effort from the scots. So close to upsetting west indies.
those scottish sisters need to go and sit and look in the mirror...they needed to stand up and steer them home...that opening partnership was awesome...

Ireland really should have beaten NZ. Falling 4 runs short only chasing 140 with 2 batters making 50's is poor.
