DStv Stream gives problems during Bafana Bafana FIFA World Cup match

DStv once again experienced problems on game day during the FIFA World Cup when Bafana Bafana met the Czech Republic in Atlanta Stadium in the U.S. on Thursday evening.

Several customers reported that they were unable to watch live, instead receiving an error message stating: “Oops. Something went wrong CDNAT 403.”
 
They didn’t miss anything.

Beginning of game, stream died both TV's screens went black for around a half minute, then came back on, another 15-30 seconds and audio came back, was decent after that..
 
Come on @Jan. You’re an award winning journalist. An article about a minor glitch that a few people experienced? That’s not journalism. You’re better than this. Not everything needs to be turned into an article for the sake of churning out articles.

Canal+ 's behaviour patterns are of interest / concern to a number of us, I'm thankful for the detail. It will calm down in another few months either way

I was streaming other DStv channels, also had some serious hiccups for about an hour on and off. So a general problem then, affecting some but not others. Probably caused by lack of bandwidth preparation I imagine.

I have no issue with it and there might be an incentive for number of articles published but I’m concerned about Jan’s reputation. He can at least use the “staff writer” moniker for these fluff pieces.
 
yeah the first 1-2 minutes of the game were experiencing issues on dstv stream.
much better than last week. I missed the goals last week due to streaming issues.

Overall DSTV need to do a much better job at this. Very frustrating to pay for a service and not be able to use it effectively especially when it counts the most! WATCHING THE DAMN GOALS!!
 
You can have 1GB fibre line and still their streams buffers. You can stream 4k Netflix ON 5 TV'S in the same house and it will never buffer.
