Just watching the whole thing now. Cracked up at this part when he was blowing his own trumpet: "small boat crossings falling, asylum hotels closing".
 
Interestingly Starmer's speech did not state that there will be a coronation for the Manchester Messiah but let's see if anyone else has support to challenge him.
 
Any bets on how long the next one will last?
 
I think one needs to study the role of social media in the recent rise of PMs serving for such short periods, or is it that recent PMs weren't up for the job?

I think he’s just a boring politician but did a decent job with some things considering the mess the conservatives left them.

Ah well once the media decides it you’re cooked anyway so this is the new normal for the UK

People in general are stupid. Sometimes boring is best given todays world.

On reddit, some Welsh town is complaining about lack of investment. They used to get the maximum sum from the EU for development. But of course, 60% of that town voted for Brexit, so now they have nothing
