If you were buying a TV today, which brand would you choose?
 
Sony had best pic quality last I compared, though colours can be a bit "unreal". Samsung & LG also good.
 
I suppose i will wait and see how well the Bravia brand tvs turn out now that TCL is involved
 
I currently have a Hisense, nothing wrong with it but it's not as polished as other units I've seen.

I think Samsung has decent display tech for the money.
 
Is Sansui any good? They used to have fair CRT's.
 
I don't see enough value in a TV to spend more than 5K on a display. So went with Hisense which was good value for money. It does the job. If I had money to waste I would get a TV with the highest nits / brightness and as big as possible, also with at least 5 years of warranty..

Largely agree, but to me my eyes are still the best final judge.
