South African freight operators delaying deliveries before 30 June marches

South African freight operators are delaying deliveries, mapping alternative routes and weighing additional security before anti-migrant demonstrations scheduled for June 30, as they seek to shield workers and cargo from possible disruptions along some of the busiest transport corridors.

The contingency planning illustrates how a campaign that began with demands for undocumented foreign nationals to leave the country is impacting critical industries.

Mmm I didn't think this through when I ordered a bunch of deliveries today.

The fear mongering hype train continues. And some people say "protests" are organic expressions of people's feelings, shame 😁

Makes sense, it's one or two days at most and the risk is high, better safe than sorry, you either wait an extra day or two, or risk waiting a lot longer when your product gets stolen/looted on route. While the protests have been peaceful so far, there is no guarantee that people will not be stoking violence on the day of the main protests.

What's maybe good about this is Saffers saying enough is enough about job scarcity. Maybe one day they'll say the same about the ANC...

Huh? Think....
So, either you have secret knowledge about how this speaks to solving job scarcity and you're refusing to share it or you have zero clue and are just claiming this speaks to solving job scarcity with no attributable facts?

Obtuse much?
