Employees have been told they must all come to work, or they will have to apply for leave of be disciplined. There has been talks about abscondment.

But then again, where I work, my company is full of foreigners. I've been told that we wont hire white people, we would instead try find a BEE candidate, and if we cant, we must rather recruit from India. A lot of senior managers are Indian (from India)

Playing it by ear. Quite a few distributors have sent notification of closure for tomorrow, with one going so far as to lock down their premises (private security with APCs, the works - nobody in, nobody out).

Did you paint yourself Brown to be Indian then ? Well done, man.

we got the whatsapp this morning if your life is in danger WFH, so I definitely plan to,
even the Jewish/Israeli security organizations are telling people don't make yourself a target, hide in plain sight
so I plan to heed the warnings,

although I believe this being south africa its more noise than actual credible threat.

fortunately for me the skin colour helps in situations like this, need to get my Afrikaans up to scratch tho.
