Business as usual. Monitoring the situation, beefing up armed security (we have a warehouse packed with electronics and IT equipment), monitoring cameras, putting contingencies in place, and and and.

We must avoid protest actions and choose alternative routes (no sh*t).

No WFH flexibility. If you can't come to work, you have to put a day's leave in.

To sum up: If you die, you die (and it was probably your fault because you didn't use an alternative route). And you better let your manager know you died because then you will be in trouble or not putting a day's leave in.
 
Bastards want to go and march, so we're bringing in foreigners to make up the shortfall.

If a business is WFH or can WFH ( I'm hybrid ) , its really silly to force office attendance for the day UNLESS you are not in a risk area.

I still love how when talking about the 2021 riots, Gauteng takes the fore when Durban bore the brunt with no government intervention for days. Many have no faith in our local considering what happened last time. And driving home the last week seeing Nyalla's and vans parked off above and around Nandi drive does not help.
 
Normal work day here, for us in the suburbs those that have to commute from possible hot spot areas, need to put in days leave if they can't make.

Police are more pro active this time than with the previous Zuma July Festivities. Bringing in extra vehicles, also a bit more PRO CPF this time around.
 
After update from security company we will be open as well.
Police will be stationed at nearest entrance to industrial area and protesters will not be allowed in.
However they do not expect it to escalate past a peaceful protest. Concern is people using public transport.
