Capitec Connect - Anyone here have experience network wise?

SO just had a long chat with his friend in East London. Normal call...not WhatsApp or Telegram. Call quality was great. He is very happy with Capitec Connect. I was very worried when we ported him that he is going to have bad quality of connection data and voice wise, considering that it runs through Cell C which in turn runs on MTN. Thought MTN might lower quality for Cell C customers and give MTN customers môre quality seeing it is their network. On top of that I though Cell C might lower the quality further seeing that Capitec is VMNO on their network and offer their own customers the quality they get from MTN.

But ja...so far so good. Good data speed...voice quality is great...signal is good.

I avoid a mall like the plague. Had to go to Rosebank Mall though which is up the road from us to go to Capitec though lol. I was so glad to get out of there.

Can confirm his call routing is working perfectly. Spam calls as per normal

Trying them out, 4g only but great speeds.

Edit: This is also a new number that'll get no spam. Nice.

The hotspot feature don't work here. Same as FNB connect. Weird.

Are we talking about this: Tethering is physically connecting the host to the client with a USB cable, Hotspotting is essentially turning your device into a Wi-Fi router.

No vowifi / volte afaik
No international roaming

Positives:
Cheap non expiring data (Megsapp is still cheaper)
Call center that's great
Integrated into the banking app

Other than that, are you happy with coverage and signal quality? Been eyeing this for a while, but waiting for their esim.

Problem is Im not sure if they will launch this year as they have been promising this forever.

Yes no issues whatsoever. Actual call center as well and not useless Whatsapp support.

Wish they could implement roaming. I use this sim when I'm in SA, but need to leave it behind with family whenever I leave in case I don't make it back within 6 months, so they can keep it active.
