Yup, I use my Bose headphones every single day of my life for hours and hours on end.
 
Open floor plan, lots of noisy colleagues, many of them on calls. Absolutely.

Fridays are the worst, that's when they are more sociable.

When I was still working before retiring, using headphones were not permitted. That is because it is a factory environment with high risk of FERs (Fires, Explosions and Releases) and you need to hear emergency announcements over the PA system.

Ye, even when I'm home alone there is always something banging or clanking in the beackground.

I prefer the music in my ears so earbuds are usually in.
Oddly sometime I need to just not have anything playing.

Noise canceling is life now, not sure how I'll cope without. When I go to the office I put them on and often don't even play music... just enjoy the sound of not listening to other people.
