A new report says consumers are reaching their limit when it comes to paying higher prices for PCs and smartphones as memory costs continue to rise.

According to TrendForce, record-high DRAM and NAND prices, driven largely by strong AI demand and tight supply, are forcing device makers to increase prices.

The report warns that weakening consumer purchasing power is already affecting demand, prompting PC and smartphone manufacturers to become more cautious with production and component purchases as sales growth slows.
