Fifa World Cup 2026

98 games watched, 6 games to go - (please tell me there's no 3rd place playoff).

Still think it's Argentina vs France, but Norway is in a feisty mood, and England may just surprise us all.
 
I've said it before ... but I'll say it again ... France is going to win.

Not because I want France to win (I don't) ... just because ...

FIFA being corrupt is one thing, but people constantly claiming match fixing every time something happens is just stupid.

Argentina scored 3 goals. Were they all “blatant” too?

They wouldn't have finished the game with 11 players, scored 3 goals and Egypt's legitimate goal wouldn't have been pulled back for a "foul" that happened 110 yards away if the officials weren't in someone's pocket. They would've been 3-0 down already before they even scored their first one - if they could even score it.

How do you know they wouldn't have finished with 10? Crystal ball working overtime, rofl

That's not how VAR works. They check the attacking possession phase leading to the goal, not just the goal. If there's a foul by the attacking team in that phase the goal can be disallowed. Distance is irrelevant.

Probably they will spring to life at some stage, they have the players, but Spain has not looked like a team that will win the World Cup.
 
Spain winning the game due to keeping mistakes must be frustrating if you are a Belgium supporter.
