Woolworths to launch ChatGPT for cooking

Woolworths has announced the launch of My Woolies Chef, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered food assistant designed to help customers find meal ideas.

The retailer said the conversational AI assistant would help customers answer the question of "What's for dinner tonight?"

Consumer chatbots are probably the most unoriginal least impactful thing you can do with generative AI. It is like people had to "do some AI" and came up with this as a use case. Note to companies - people are chatting to Chatgpt or Google. There is no ROI in some of these consume chatbots.

And don't get me started on customer service bots which just repeats the FAQ back to you and is in no way equipped to solve your problem.

Done with a purpose.
They hope the customer will give up and go away. Vodacom excels at this.
They don't give AF about the customer, they just want the customer's money.

Yes, it will tell you how to code things that will place orders on Woolworths and leave you with a R210,505.67 bill
do you really think people spending more time indoor shopping under fluorescent lights is a better state of affairs?

Personally I think our arete is not grocery shopping and anything that lets humans make more art and spend more time with their family is what supporting humans looks like

I basically made this for my mom (pelicart.com) and fyi it's saving money if anything b/c it can get vegetables from woolies with discovery discount and everything else from checkers lol
