I am shocked just at how buggy DStv stream actually is..

Hi all.



I am appearing to run into issues with DStv stream.

I have an Android TV box, and the DStv app.

when attempting to load a show after the advert (that's another frustration, I pay a premium for premium, and I am still subjected to adverising on the app) the stream either doesn't load - or when it does the other 3 of 4 corners of the screen are cut off.

This is why (sorry Frikkie) I prefer Plex, and my own content. When I do decide to open the app to watch something legitimately it doesn't work

Eish, I haven't seen that issue before.
But DSTV Stream is the only app on my Hisense Android TV that ever freezes and requires me to manually "Force Stop" and relaunch it. So I can't say I'm too surprised.

Yeah my DSTV freezes on my apple tv once in a while and I have to go out the channel and back in again to restart it.
also the DSTV stream pictures, showing what is on that channel at the moment, generally don't line up with what is actually playing

The “Also on Now” feature has been broken on tvOS for like 3 months now. Works on iOS though.

on my latest AppleTV 4K it will randomly throw up a "HDCP not supported" error that can only be fixed by restarting the ATV. Not to mention the UI is slow and laggy at the best of times

i have premium but i rather have a dodgy app to stream it in FHD because dstv stream looks like 480p on 30fps
