Having some issues with connectivity to the UK, seems to be right on our exit node. Queen's route is also showing some losses along the way:

It is a minecraft server. Whenever I see loss on route, throughput starts to go bad. Not ping as such, but actual data throughput. The link always looks fine, but the moment it needs to actually transfer more than a ping packet it starts to go bad.

Yeah its unique to that host via 1299, so more a transit provider thing.


Is this the host? They supposedly peer locally but seems they dont advertise that range/ip

This is the target IP according to ping: 169.150.213.150 (zombiecraft.nodecraft.gg)


It is a UK minecraft server hosting company. Not sure as to their configuration. Assuming minecraft default port: 25565

Datapacket are a quite well known VPS provider, very common provider for Minecraft servers. I use to use them back in the day. They also provide VPN access to some of the bigger VPN servers

Thread 'Cool Ideas VPN Server(s)'

As previously mentioned we've setup a free VPN servers for Cool Ideas customers to connect directly to the UK or Madrid, should there be a need to avoid local peering arrangements and avoid increased LAG/Ping, such as can happen with gameservers hosted on AWS, or Google cloud.

The servers have our best path to the UK and Madrid, with the lowest latency. From there, it's up to your gaming provider....

Username test/test, PPTP or L2TP.
London = ukvpn.cisp.co.za, best path to London from JHB or CPT.
Madrid/JHB = madvpn.cisp.co.za, Johannesburg-Lisbon (via Paratus)

The VPN seems to be working for me. Thanks for that tip.

Probably an issue with their configuration messing us around here.

No loss observed on international but LINX is currently not in play due to maintenance between Lisbon and London
