Think my U6+ is dying![]()
All of a sudden I am getting no or low signal and back to Excellent without moving on WiFi Man. It's been working fine since Feb. Can't even say it's overheating since JHB is ridiculously cold. What signs are pointing to this?
I'll give this a try on Sunday when I have some time to mechanic it a bit. Any chance a UniFi OS update could cause these issues? Might roll that back as wellMaybe factory reset plus a change in cable?
That's very weird. Have you checked the UI forum for any similar reports?Have picked up an odd bug. Running UCG-Ultra on UnifiOS 5.1.20 and Network 10.5.54. Didn't notice anything until last week - Openserve released gigabit and i thought to test it out. Was previously on 200/200. Since gig was activated I wasn't able to get close to those speeds - speeds seemed limited to 300/300 which indicated some sort of artificial limit.
The Ultra is supposed to do gig with little issue. Did the usual checks and setting changes - removed smart queues, ensured hardware acceleration was on, switched off IPS and IDS but still nothing above 300 for downloads but uploads reached the full 500. After some ssh digging with the help of Claude I discovered there was an ingress limit on the UCG - with this limit on speeds were capped - even though in the UI there was no indication of any caps.
I removed the limit and download speeds increased to 850+ - all was working great. About 2hours later i get a disconnect notification on my app - the Openserve connection had disconnected and then reconnected - and the ingress limit was reactivated in the background. Speeds were again limited to 300 download. Again i removed it (even created a systemd service to keep it off) but the samething happened again about 2hrs later
Couldn't find anything conclusive - most posts pointed to enabling HW accelaration and they would get gig no problem. Will see if similar pattern emerges after an upgrade but thinking to log it as a bug on this combination of Unfi OS and Network App.That's very weird. I cant remember which Unifi device it applied to but there was one where it could stuggled do gigabit over pppoe which Openserve uses
I cannot use punctuation on the MyBB app for the above like commas
nice!
