Only car I had with a sunroof was my 2006 Polo Sportline (don't miss it, but that engine was a beast...still see it around Midrand now-and-then). Most of the time I had the roof in tilt mode, only closing it when it rained at work.

This, just in silver and the multi-spoke sportline rims. No DSC so even highway driving was a gentle throttle exercise if even 1 drop of rain was on the tar:

i have been driving a NP200 bakkie since 2011, but before that the last car i had was a 2007 Polo GTi which had a sunroof - it had a tilt function and each time i jumped into the car i made it open on the tilt - on really sunny days i used to open it fully on the slide function ..... here's an old pic (don't worry about the labels as being from an India forum - i lost the original photos when my old hard drive died and photobucket also did not allow me to recover any pics so the only place i could recover the pics back were from the Indian forum that i also posted them on)

i had also added aftermarket versions of the 18" Golf GTi rims on the car replacing the 17" versions ...... which was a mistake because i kept losing Pirelli P zero tyres to Durban's sizable potholes at the time ...... but you live and learn

Also did this, a lot... just had to drive real slow when it was C-shape curtain rails because they go all bendy.

Bought a Volvo wagon (V60) and sold the Polo. Maybe not as fun to drive, nor economical (I do <10Kkm a year so meh; <6Kkm now with the scooter for work), but sure is a lot more comfortable (especially when driving to Natal) and plenty of room for the longer items from the DIY store.
