They are aware by law they need to list every ingredient and broken down like that, so it looks scary.

Was at Shoprite today to buy workers food. For myself I just got a sausage roll. All their pies are R11,99. It wasn't a great pie, but for R12 is was pretty good.

Holy moly. I think I last paid that for a pie 20 years ago. Are they regular size (like garage pie size) pies? Or are they tiny things?

When I pass by Xprresso cafe (it’s a coffee shop/bakery franchise where everything costs R14), I often get one of their sausage rolls - it’s decent, but it’s tiny (still fair given the price). But R11,99 is seriously cheap for anything these days

No they normal size. Like I said I had a sausage roll, don't know what the fillings are like in the others.

I've had those before and it tastes decent but the filling is very thin. Have not tried the sausage roll.
