Fifa World Cup 2026

Was a very spicy affair in the 1st half. Game returned to normal when England scored. But then unbelievably they seem so settle on only defending for the rest of the half. Argentina were camped in the English box for most of the half. Had some great shots on goal and the England goalie pulled off 2 great saves. Score could have been 4-1. The better team won on the night. England made some strange tactical decisions and must live with it. Well done Argentina.

You need to understand the history of the football rivalry and how it connects to falklands. It provides extra motivation for argentina whenever they face england. Diego dedicated the hand of god goal to the people who died in the falklands war.

Well Fifa is also suppose to be impartial when it comes to politics but that veil has fallen under gianni. Peace prize for trump, joining his peace committee, unwilling to hear charges brought by members against Israel, the balagun red reversal.
 
England tactics were at fault. trying to defend the 1 goal lead was just plain stupid, taking into affect what Argentina did to Egypt when they were 2 goals up. The substutions were stupid taking off Gordon and Rice (although Rice did look really tired). England could not even defend properly as most of the time they had 6-7 defending in a straight line. If you are going to defend you have two banks of 4 close to one another to not allow any space in between.

It was bizarre call to defend. Their defence was fine before the goal. They were the team on top and Argentina struggled, but when they saw that England intended to sit back they threw everything at it. Not sure Pickford shouldn't have done better with the first goal.

Was funny as England scored the goal - I told my son England is going to lose if they just focus on defending. Argentina - without the help of the refs - is dangerous and will score if they consistently attacking within the English box.

Lo and behold Tuchel played into exactly what I said and let Argentina score and go on to win the match. Tuchel really put too much faith into defending a measly 1 goal lead

Past comments really comes back to haunt you :D

What still baffles me is why Mainoo gotten 0 game time yet again... First Amorim now Tuchel
