Easy Equities good or bad?


In summary, these companies know people are willing to pay stupid money to be a part of the AI play, so now is the time to sell shares (Google) and IPO (SpaceX and the rest), as they will get a ton for their shares.
 
EasyEquities, wtf?

I have a large number of shares in a particular equity.

That equity is currently in the green.

I would like to dispose of some, or possibly all of my shares therein.

1. If I attempt to sell them, EE shows the estimated total value as significantly less than the total purchase price, in spite of the profit. Why is the sell price 6.71) massively lower than the current bid price (8)? Is there not a cap on the margin for such sales? That margin seems extortionate.

2. I'm limited to selling R100.65 per transaction. I have nearly 130k in this equity alone. How does one get past this BS, please?

Careful don't complain to much about EasyEquities otherwise the moderators / admin will ban you for a few months...
Remember their excuse regarding the R100 limit or the likes is, "not enough liquidity" <-- give me a break because you can phone them and magically they will do the whole order for you.

Zero logic in limiting a person buying or selling shares if they have the available capital, zero!

2 weeks ago, it was sell at R2, but at R2.50.

I wanted to buy R3680 shares. And at that price, I could buy 1672 shares.

This morning I see it is at sell R2.06, buying at R2.20.

I entered again R3680, and guess what, I could still only buy 1672 shares.

That doesnt make any sense. At R2.50 vs R2.20, the same amount of shares!

What am I missing ?

I think I commented on my experience way back.

My thoughts, cons first I guess.

* I wouldn't buy into it unless you want to buy and hold indefinitely
* Their IPOs are expensive and so are their platform fees. Every quarter or so you get payouts which are minimal, and most is usually chowed by fees. I wouldn't get this for dividends for this reason.

Pros, if any:

* It is cheaper to pick up shares when the auctions are going. The buying price for shares are usually much lower than IPO price.

Turns out I don't have any other pros.

I bought a bit into a property when Easy Properties launched. I would make a loss if I sold them in an auction. Fortunately I do not need this money, so I will not sell these shares.

As an experiment I picked up some shares last month on the 25th and got some at a bargain. I intend to keep these.

As many would say though, it is an expensive investment. Can't really beat a good ETF to be honest. I just bought in so I can have somewhat of a mixed portfolio.

Have not used it based on what I have heard and read you buy high and even if the property value increased you can not take profit, it seem that the market to sell is so small that no one is prepared to pay the fair price.
Long story short it seems dodgy.
If you want property exposure buy reits
 
My good buddy was balls deep in EasyProperties for a period of about 3-4 years but had serious regrets wrt growth vs just chucking it in the S&P.

Then offloading was a ball ache as well, staggered af.
