Very well. Like the many adaptations that have been done for the story, I think this one made some sensible changes to keep it tight and on track.

I especially liked the way the sequences with action in them weren't written or filmed like 'action' sequences in the modern sense. But more how those encounters are portrayed in the poem, or in a stage play. Very well suited to the way the whole narrative was put together, and suited the characters well.
 
Apparently it is quite a good watch.

Also I love the discrepancy with peoples ability to handle how historical figures (or even mythical ones) are being or have been portrayed "accurately" throughout history.

For example: Jesus Christ could be a white guy for 2000+ years, but Helen of Troy can't even be black for 3 hours.

Difference is that while Jesus is never mentioned as being white, Helen definitely is:

It's just another unnecessary race swap. I could give them that, because it's happened loads of times before, and we should probably just expect it at this point. But how on earth can they expect us to believe that a 1.55m, 48kg women is one of the greatest Greek warriors of all time? I know films are all about immersing yourself in the world that's been created for you to enjoy, but come on. 🤣

Who's this? Sinon? Because Sinon is never portrayed as a warrior at all in the ancient poem. He's portrayed as a deceitful spy.

Don't know how Sinon is portrayed in the movie.
