Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon

This character. Unsurpassed.

Watched the intro music twice just for good measure. A song of fire and ice is twice as nice

I really enjoyed the first episode, was pretty epic for an opener. My main issue was trying to remember who is who even after watching a recap, that dropped the stakes for me personally, but started getting there towards the end.

The battles were pretty awesome, and the ending was a cheeky shocker. I'm not enjoying the fetal alcohol syndrome child / teenager and her wild dragon storyline though, can't act her way out of a papsak.

But ya, the wait has been too long and it's finally over.

They must have blown half the season budget on that ep1. Expect a few slow snooze fest eps now

Excellent, just excellent this week...what a difference it makes giving the main character some agency instead of waving her hands and going "what would you have me do?". Like a breath of fresh air.

I bend the knee to this episode - no dragons, no battles, no minor characters getting the chop...just Rhaenyra taking care of business while dealing with the reality of sitting on the Iron Throne.

More of this, please.

Yes, despite the total lack of action, it was an interesting episode. Showed the harsh realities of ruling. I get the feeling they are building up that Rhaenyra might be on course to experiencing the Targaryan madness that has befallen some of her ancestors. Let's see.

This season has become a bit boring in the last 2 episodes. Meandering between characters/factions but no real story progression. Hope it picks up in the remaining episodes.

I'm the opposite - the scheming and intrigue is what does it for me.

Larys giving Aegon a dressing down was cool and then that speech from Ser Criston...chills.

jassis Rhaenyra is irritating me now.

I am now on team Aemond One Eye. May he get his host and then, Burn them all my little psychopath.

Hope we get to see more of SheepStealer his homeless rider.
