We're getting 140v in at the moment so I'm running the generator every 3-4 hours for an hour for the fridges.![]()
140 is better than the 400 I've seen from city power in the past140v? Holy appliance genocide, batman.

Where are you based? In SA? I was wondering why you bought an Expensive battery when any decent LFP brand can do the job. So there must be something about the Tesla that you liked above all else to be willing to pay probably 4x moreWhat trouble?
It's got all the right integrations and stuff to work with my energy provider to sell excess power at peak time. Plug and play and all that

Oh the other thing is the Tesla stuff is all IP67 - can be installed outside. I don't have a garage
It's so compact as well.

What do they do about heat? Coz those things are enough to heat up a room in winter,My FIL and SIL both have their inverter and batteries outside, in weather proof steel boxes though and not visible unless you are on their property and know where to look.
Ja, if only.Lol 240kg...

Yes metal boxes the manufacturer has already tested to. Adding another on top DIY i don't see how you don't introduce heat issues. And yeah I agree, best to just get the outdoor ones to begin with. Like below:They all are in metal boxes already? So as long as the vents are open there’s no issue.
I would just buy the waterproof ones to start with though.
