What game are you playing now? (Part 2)

Still busy with Arkham Knight, but this entire weekend I've been playing nothing but AC Valhalla (finally) for the first time. Figured it's about time. If I don't do it now then I might never get to it lol.

Have to say that out of all the AC games I've ever played (all the main games up until this one), Valhalla feels the least like an AC game. It's Assassin's Creed in name only imo and I don't like it. Might just end up being my least favourite game in the series by quite some margin if it continues like this.

I will however continue for now and at least try to finish the main story, but I highly doubt I will spend much time doing side stuff. Will also at least try to explore the entire map just to see all the sights because the world does look amazing in places. Not as amazing as the likes of Origins/Odyssey etc.

The world just doesn't feel as interesting as previous games though. Last time I felt this way about the map in an AC was probably with ACIII or maybe Black Flag.

The game I actually want to play, and one that actually looks like a proper Assassins Creed, is Mirage but at the same time I don't want to skip a game. :)

I bought a bunch of games on the last Steam sale, games I've been looking forward to checking out for ages, like Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077, etc.
Then Grim Dawn released their new expansion and I am right back playing the same game I've been playing for the last I don't even know how many years. 😄

Gothic 1 Remake.

Hard as hell at times but it keeps me coming back for more. Games made back in the day knew how to keep you engaged, atmosphere and graphics on this remake is also real nice, though a 5090 and some visual concessions are needed on 4k to achieve 120fps.

Finally finished FF7 Rebirth - only took 2 years. It was good but lots of things about it annoyed the crap out of me.

Gonna play something mindless now with the little time I have

Just about finished the Sims 2 Castaway on PS2. Don't know how I missed this gem. It's a wacky survival sim with a great atmosphere and enough challenges to keep you busy for a few weeks.

If I can just get my sims to stop leaving the food they cooked on the floor, that would be great but I'm at the point where they are living the life of luxury right now. Almost sad it's over.

Cant place something on the floor if there is no floor

Tile the kitchen in Garden squares or something that doesn't allow object placement.

They'll probably just go place it outside or somewhere if no counter or table is nearer.

EDIT: I spent most of my St4 year playing Sims 2 every free hour I had, funny how I remember so much of it but nothing of what I did at school the whole year

Finished Doom Revelations DLC. Man what a game.

Now I'm waiting for Beast of Reincarnation on Tuesday.

Trying out Phantasy Star Online 2 on PS4 to see what it's like. It's free so why not..... Big download though.
