That's seems rather niche for a South African, I understand why they dropped that. Aren't there other places to get that?

I'm failing to think of any other sport offering important to a critical number of Saffas they don't offer?

I find it hard to believe they've lost a sizeable amount of Premium subscribers because they don't offer the like of darts anymore.

It's part of our sport viewing history, and was expected. I hear your point, but if they mess with any sport they're looking for trouble here.

Well, they ended up putting the darts back on. Now waiting (hoping) for a return of Billiards / similar.

would love it if they offered some of the world snooker tour tournaments here ..... especially the masters and the World championships - right now only way to get regular snooker coverage is to subscribe to the WST channel at R100 per month or thereabouts - or to find pirated BBC or Eurosport streams

Remember the out cry over the IPL? Even the Commonwealth Games got some press. If it doesn't garner that kind of reaction, they could get away with dropping it I reckon.

I'm guessing there's no Billiard's version of Littler currently? They might bring it back then.

"Get away with it" is relative. If they've learnt their lesson they won't, they're trying to keep us, not lose us in an effort to save. From what we've already heard not the first time they may have shifted their savings goalposts.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

"Us" is expendable if we're talking Winter Olympics and Billiards. Soccer, rugby and cricket not so, and they know that.

Billiards / Snooker etc. I can agree, but not Winter Olympics.

Well pretty well. Share listed for R 95 in 2019 and closed at R 125 last year +- 30% return and you shareholders recieved R22 in dividens so not bad. Shareholders won and the average joe who could afford it recieved the best sports coverage available. No idea what the future holds and competition will be tough so assume they will somehow fund it wiith online gambling.
