So here is an odd thing... Feminism killed male friendship.
Back in the day men had "safe" spaces they could go to, there were places like the free masons, buffaloes or whatever, there were gentlemen clubs, there was scouts, there were sports clubs and and. Over the years women kept kicking up a fuss saying it's not fair that men can have their own clubs, their own sports grounds, their own organisations, so slowly they were eroded away, killing them off.
Killing off safe spaces men generally congregated. Men tend to make friends way differently to women, we're generally not face to face talkers, we make friends while doing activities, or discussing business or playing sports. So with those eroding, men friendships disappeared along with it. Though the same rule did not apply to women, they kept all their safe spaces and gained more, hell even Scouts started including girls, even though they had their own.
