I don't really care if it's taxed. But make the damn process easier. I've got chunks of crypto I just cba to cash out because I don't have the energy to figure out the tax situation.

Anyone living in SA should contribute to the appropriate cost of government - the fairest systems are generally based (at least partly) on income received. Do not see any justification to treating profits from crypto differently from other income.

Why?

Why is the fairest system not one based on paying proportionally based on the services one recieved? Hell, i dont even mind paying proportionally more, within reason, for my services, in order to subsidise services for the real, indigent classes who need it - but there is nothing just about taxing me based on my income, irrespective of the services i receive from government, then taxing me again by ming me have to pay for those services when I actually need them, or charging me vat when I have to pay a private company to provide the services I already paid the government for but they can’t provide - and then again charging me tax on top of all that because I dared make smart investment choices with my private, post tax capital.
