PC hardware bargains even. All I see are random people discovering an old box of ddr3/4 ram and selling it for crazy prices. The bargain there is the stock being available even.

I bought my M5 512gb for R21999 from Incredible Connection, then 1 day later it changes to R26999
I am happy with my neo.
I only use it for lite work though.

No one said or believed they wouldn't. The point is that it's finally happened. And that it's taken almost a year for Mac pricing to be affected. This means the consumer loses out big time. It also brings Windows laptops back into the picture. Because at pre-increase Mac prices, 9 out of 10 times, buying Windows would be unwise, given that Macs are just so much better.
But I digress and certainly do not want to invoke being airborne'd here again for daring to veer off topic.

Did anybody actually buy this? I'm pretty grumpy because it's a genuinely awesome deal, and is already all sold out. I knew Incredible did deep discounts on their demo laptops (I bought one for my son that way), but this promo seems to indicate they do the best retail specials on laptops in South Africa too (am I wrong?).View attachment 1927634

Nowadays 16GB of RAM is like gold in a discount section. Wonder how much time till the 8GB hardware is obsolete and can't sell anymore but the 16GB hardware is too expensive, nice storm where the market collapses.

Well thechnically 8gb is obsolete imo
Many are just in denial
fast nvme/ssd helps to soften the blow hide it
For day to day use
I prefer to have actual free memory not cached file filled ram that has to be swopped to hard drive to use it

Cached memory is commonly used processes stored in RAM for quicker access?
Paged (virtual memory) is when you're system starts using hard drive/SSD as you've run out of real memory.
Cached memory is essentially free memory as it can quickly clear when more memory is required.
