What about African excellence though. What do you have to say about that ? Have you seen state of COJ ? You prefer BEE and genocide then ?

I've already explained why. He wanted to pick someone who DOES NOT have ambitions on becoming a permanent senator. You really think it's worth being corrupt for a temporary job as a seat warmer for 4-5 months? If it was for the permanent, six-year term, I'd agree, but it's not, so I don't. I'd also hazard a guess that the Republicans wanted someone who'd mirror Graham's voting record as close as possible for the remainder of the term. Who'd be better to do that (assuming no family feuds) than his sister?

Given the right (or wrong?) conditions, this man would turn any country into Equatorial Guinea type dictatorship. What's confusing is that even people who derive no sizeable financial benefit from this administration's obvious shortcomings and grand corruption are fully behind him (contrary to what they hold against any corrupt dictatorship on the "dark continent"). It makes me wonder what their motivations are.
