they used to post them , simple form to fill in , just write your mileage and sign

Cant there be a database of 3rd party insurance and integrate it with license plate reader which flags the ones that don't and only those ones get pulled over, that way your time is not wasted.

I downloaded the form filled in the pdf and saved it, now each year I just print it out fill in milage,date and sign it. Been doing that for 10 years or so.

PS: its not complicated it is just information you already have.

Took the dogs for a drive yesterday to the license department and fetched the form, that took 1 minute and will fill it in at home to today.

Try driving in the US... that is exactly what they do. The fines for not having insurance papers with you are considerable.

I get my renewal notice e-mailed by Natis. Last year's I received 1½ months before the disc's expiry date.

In my area in CT we still get post delivered (once a week). I got my licence from the CoCT by post last time. It takes a while, but minimal effort.

They've stopped doing that last year. Now they want you to choose a muni office to collect at.

Las time I used the PO you had to provide a copy of your ID - now tell me, in this day and age, where the hell do most people find a printer..
