same old mistakes in the transfer market as always - United need a striker or two - proper number nines - not just forwards - we only have Sesko and he is not match fit - and when that happens we don't have consistent goalscorers - we just have supplementary goalscorers ie the guys who add a few goals to the number nine who needs to score 20 goals per season in the league alone - and United have not had that since Romelu Lukaku was allowed to leave ...... Jason Wilcox is a moron - he is letting United survive with one striker - Sir Alex used to make do with four per season (out and out number 9s and separate number 10's ie supplementary forwards - now we have loads of attackers who can operate as number 10's but only one recognised number 9)
these Ineos tw@ttys need to realize that a team is not just the sum of the main first team players - a successful team needs a squad where every position has competition for spots as well as cover for injuries and Uniteds upper management are just too stupid to understand this - their utter donkeys balls of not buying players in the January windows is always going to bite them on their ar5e and relying on total morons like Jason Wilcox to oversee the player purchases is a total cant move because he is a brainless fark who cant recognise a good player even if one slaps him in the face - that is why United are still years away from building a competitive team because they keep relying on utter ar5es
same old indifferent start to the season and the same old results are going to happen - no title challenge from United this season nor the next unless they sort out that cant Wilcox's brains

I’m not going to panic YET - but similar trends from last year are still there and worrying. Can’t breakdown a low block and struggling to beat one v one. Players still getting back to match fitness and gelling so will give it time
I think that's a bit of an exaggeration, and time will tell whether we can put together a decent campaign. But honestly, I did start getting those familiar 'not again' vibes immediately. But that's probably paranoia from the past 13 years of almost constant disappointment.
That said, I think last year's summer window was decent. But this time, some of the decisions seem silly so far. Why pile in THREE central midfielders when there was an obvious need for a left-back, which we're leaving late? I recall us signing Diego Leon (a Paraguayan left back) not so long ago, but apparently he's not ready. Whether he ever will be, I don't know. We lost Carreras that way - which was an idiotic episode, so one wonders why we invest in young foreign talent if we don't give them a chance.
Dorgu became a winger, so he's lost as a left-back.
Amass deserves a chance too, but that doesn't look like it'll happen, so we'll sell him for peanuts and then we'll splash on someone who is a risk.
Balde, the Barcelona lad whose injury record isn't great in recent years, is the big prospect right now. But it'd be smarter to get him
on a loan with an option to buy. I doubt whether the board will do that, though. Which is silly, because everyone else tries our players before they buy...and then they don't cough up even discounted prices (Sancho & Rashford).
Our central defence also needs solid players who can stay fit and perform, because I don't think any of our current centre backs have held out an entire season without long absences.
We'll definitely need top quality at right-back to replace Dalot, but Mazraoui is fine for now.
I'm with you on the striker / forwards thing, but also remember that when Fergie had 4 strikers, the norm was to play two at a time. These days, it's only one, and the others are all 'forwards' (which we have plenty of).
That said, pure number 9s are rare these days. Still, I would have settled for an older one to back up Sesko. Zirkzee isn't that kind of player, and Rashford - despite his new squad number - isn't either. Maybe it's wishful thinking that if they gave him the 9, he'd score like he did that one season when he was outstanding (before it all fell apart again).
In the old days under Fergie, the saying was strikers hunt in pairs. And he always had two pairs. Us just having one is a problem. But, as we can't seem to be able to put in decent crosses to feed any big striker, it seems a moot point at the moment.

about the striker thing - we don't even have anyone who can replace Sesko when he is injured - Zirkzee is not a striker and he can't even buy a goal right now - Rashford is a winger (self confessed and he doesn't want a striker role when he isn't sulking and tries to play while on the pitch ..... hint - last time he was in a United shirt he scored only 4 league goals so yes the tw@t was sulking after his wage was increased from £200000 to £350000) Cunha and Mbuemo are not strikers and while Mount and Bruno are primarily central attacking midfielders capable of playing a number 10 role if needed they are nowhere near strikers either - so where the two players that are capable of producing 20+ goals per season that every title chasing side needs - because without those goalscorers the closest any team will come to a title is congratulating the other guys who won it
United need someone with a brain doing player purchases ..... not a brain dead ar5e like Jason Wilcox who goes into a dressing room at half time while the actual manager (at that time Amorim before he was sacked) is doing his half time team talk to arrogantly tell the players like a total Po35 that HE is the actual manager when all he is, is just another brain dead donkeys balls cant
