The only realistic and emotive character in that bland dialogue exchange was that crackhouse owning African American woman.
That was the only dialogue in that whole movie which was memorable.

But anyway, it's a game.

Game looks far better than RDR2 though. Wish people would stop saying the game looks like RDR2 or GTAV lol. Couldn't be further from the truth.

RDR2 - came out in 2019 on PS4 with 8GB video RAM.
This still has to come out but is one generation higher. It also enjoys a much higher development budget. And the experience of RDR2 development. 16GB of much faster video RAM. Faster CPU, storage and GPU.

It looks better. I would be shocked if it didn't look better given that it's been a generational leap.

But it looks marginally better. It's not night and day difference.

Because the game isn't out yet. How does he know it sucks?

One can never say a game sucks based on a trailer. One can also never say it's perfect either. But Rockstar the richest game dev in the US, if not the world, with 100s of marketing people produced this video to promote and showcase their game. Are you saying it's NOT AT ALL REPRESENTATIVE of the state of the game and one cannot say anything about the game based on this?

On the one hand you're saying this is such a kiff game (judgment call) based on the video, on the other you're saying one can't judge the game.

Scenes like this in the lift and the apartment. I'm not saying it looks bad.. just that it's inconsistent with the stunning visuals we see later on. EDIT: fixed spelling.

I don't know, it looks good to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. The shadows especially look natural.

I mean there will be compromises if you look hard enough, but the fact that this is running a base PS5 is quite impressive to me.

They're going for cocktails. At a cocktail bar. In Miami aka Vice City, one of the cocktail capitals of America.

Anyway, it's like you have never played a GTA game in your life that you think the characters are all about crime and killing etc. Every GTA has these little "human" moments like Lucia asking Jason to pick a dress. Don't know what your issue is here.

Yes, every GTA is a satirical take on whatever city and era it's set in. So? I see nothing wrong with the writing at all so far. It sounds like every other GTA.

If the game doesn't look like your kind of thing right now then that is totally fine. And clearly you have an issue with a lot of things ranging from the stunning visuals to the writing, dialogue and cocktails.

It would be a great function to have on the swearing side of things at least. Either a swearing filter, or a dialogue volume filter. When I play gta5 with the kids about I have to mute/tweak the in-game volume, or get my headset out. The blood and adult themes are a non-issue for me, as I barely play any missions and just mess around in the sandbox.

No guy says we're going for cocktails. Do you speak like this? Maybe a yuppie couple would speak that way. I don't speak this way. I don't know any guy who would say this., even an aspiring criminal.

It's like watching a TV movie from say the Hallmark Channel and instead of saying let's go to Starbucks or 'bucks, they say let's go out to 'that coffee place' down the road. Or they say "I was shopping at my favourite mall" instead of saying, we were down at Canal Walk and... the dialogue is stiff and not realistic. Written by out of touch people. But that African American crack lady, in that crackhouse - that was 12/10.

Never said that. But these are not 'human' moments from every day life of quirky cons. They're from a 2020s sitcom or Sex and the City.

Was that satirical? The whole thing was just garbage. I'd expect Reservoir Dogs level of writing, not this sort of bland dialog. It is a new team though, not the old guys who dealt with the older games.

I don't know how long you've been in computing, I started in the late 80s but graphical improvements have been tremendous since then. To say a PS5 game looks better than one from 2019 on PS4 is like saying water is wet. PS games looked better than Amiga and PS2 games looked better than PS and so on.

I don't have issues with the visuals. They're as expected given what 2019's RDR2 looked like. I already said the visuals looked good although there are still technical glitches there, and likely that will be fully fixed in the PS5 Pro or PS6 update of the game.

You're arguing using the ad hominem fallacy. First you argued the guy is an anime fan but in the video he compares this game to previous GTAs and claims to be a GTA fan, and kids these days are all anime fans anyway. Then you claim his title is click bait, which is also ad ad hominem.
