Grand Theft Auto 6

Nice. Game of the year already whenever that might be :)
 
I’m so glad I have a PS5. As I doubt this will launch on the previous gen consoles.

Busy replaying GTA5 at the moment. For a 10yr old game it’s so good still.

Cannot wait for the next installment. I just hope they have not watered it down.

Let's not pretend the current political climate in media is only a few years old. I'd say given the timeline between RDR2's release and now gives it plenty time to be swayed a certain ideologies.

Generally speaking this will be the safest, least controversial, least edgy and unfortunately sanitized entry to date. This is inevitable. Media/gaming simply does not allow a mainstream game as much freedom these days as there is far too much focus on the medium.

Now before anyone thinks I'm advocating for the exact opposite, some of far-right utopian experience, I'm really not.

I have no problem with inclusion and representation, but when it feels natural. Not some forced, preachy, double-standard laden mess of a game where politics takes center stage and not story-telling.

We'll have to wait and see. Personally I don't think they'll go that far tbh or differ to much from previous games when it comes to controversy.

So called "protected" groups have been "heroes" or goodies for a long time now though, including black people, fat people, gay people, lesbians etc. Gay Tony had his own dlc and it was amazing. "Non-protected" people like rednecks, politicians, gangs ets have also been portrayed as good guys since the beginning and I can guarantee GTA6 will be the same.

There have always been black, far-right and even gay baddies in previous games too and I don't think that will change in 6 either.

It's a given that GTA6 will feature lqbgt6zpw+3, blm, female power etc content but that's because GTA has ALWAYS paid attention to the latest, trendy current things and political climates. And I don't think it will make the game any less fun. This from someone who hates everything woke.

People are also complaining because the game might have a playable female character but clearly they haven't played the very first game in the series where you could choose to play as a woman (even though all characters looked the same back then lol except for their portraits).

I think the game will be fine.
 
I wonder what the game is going to cost, in the past they were always a bit more expensive than normal games.

Well reading some articles, some developers want to experiment with $100 for standard editions so yeah most probably around there.
