Nothing like free "petrol", the ROI on solar so good with an EV added

August okay, worse than last year, better than 2024.

Do you charge panels to car or go via storage?

By panels over the weekend or if I'm home early for some reason. Then use HA to discharge my batteries in the early hours to get batteries to min SOC I want to allow for more charging capacity the next day. Currently have around 5kwh excess capacity after the night is done.

This time of year is almost cheating.

I mean August has pretty much been inline with July and May, June and April weren't great but even then only 50 units off May and July.
Will see how September goes as normally that is a pretty good month in JHB, October as well.
