Samsung Fan Editions

Snapcraze don't sell grey imports. As for Dex it's still buggy and will forever be.

oh and DEX is still a lot better than a lot of the utter junk that Apple gives you but charges you to use - besides DEX is not that buggy - any videos you saw that show it buggy were while it was being developed - the final product works just fine and while Apple chips are strong enough to make use of similar features they don't give you dust schit so don't keep on embarrassing yourself arguing about things you know fark all about ..... you know as much about DEX as i knew about Apple pricing when i said prices changed

Sitting here looking at my A25, I can pay, whatsapp, youtube music, play chess and read manga.
What am I missing?

I'll add 4K/60fps videos too.

you can record and play 8k videos too

heres video clip of my phone playing 8k video onto an external screen - first video is 8k second one is 4k and mentalist clip is 720p (only because i downloaded it to watch it for the third time to refresh my memory) the browsing is being done on a DEX interface via touchscreen but its the phone playing the stuff and the screen is downscaling the video to 1080p BUT the phone plays it at the recorded resolutions and the downscaling occurs during the playback when the signal reaches the screen - these videos were downloaded and stored on a hard drive and this clip is to demo what Dex is capable of doing for mutimedia playback from external hard drives via a USB-C Hub connecting the phone to an external screen - the connections and software used for all this were described on my DEX thread elsewhere in the forum

to the guy who originally asked the question regarding the differences between these and his A25 ....... you can also add that the fan edition does more than 95% of the generative AI stuff that the flagship phones do - the hardware is a bit lower but the software is mostly the same as you get on the flagships - so things like photo assist and drawing assist and audio eraser etc are all there in full effect as are other things like wireless charging (already mentioned above) BUT also reverse wireless charging so if your friends phone battery goes low you can wirelessly charge his phone for him as if your phone is a power bank and many many other things too - too numerous to mention casually here - ask a friend who has one of the flagships or a fan edition if you can tinker around with it for a bit and you will see whats extra in it

Can't say that any of these will bother any average user except wireless charging.
Reverse wireless charging, come on, they're not draining my phone because they cannot charge theirs.
8K video, for what?
Nobody has 8K TV's and nobody watches their own videos in 8K.

Reverse wireless isn't only for other phones, can pop on ear pods that support it as well.

have you seen 8k video natively on a phones AMOLED screen? - you don't need an 8k TV so that you can play the 8k video onto your screens native resolution and get even the best looking 1080p you saw - it might not look like that on my clip because of the camera i did the video with, but i have like maybe around 20 8k or remastered 8k video clips stored on my phones storage - you can immediately see the difference in the video quality compared to lower res videos - in fact nowadays i consider 1080p video as bad as i used to think that 480p video looked when 1080p was the best resolution you could get video in

nothing bothers the average user until you have access to it and start using it naturally - in the beginning many people did not even see the point of cellphones - nowadays everybody and their dog has one - and all the flagship features as they trickle down become useful even to the most jaded consumers who keep asking what's the point all the way up to the point where they can't live without the feature they initially dismissed ..... once upon a time there were even people who said messaging was an unusable feature - now they cant live without their messaging app and/or whatsapp

either way if you are happy with your phone then good for you  because it will save you lots of money in the long run - i am not going to tell you to change your phone ..... because the phone that you carry has nothing to do with me - i personally (but thats just me) have now gotten used to many of the features of my phone and i wont move down lower to save money (unless i am forced to ie the phone gets stolen and i cant afford a like for like replacement) but if i'm getting a new phone as part of my natural replacement cycle i will only move up to go to improved hardware to match the software capabilities i now enjoy ie toward the actual flagships (again) as long as i can afford it at the time

as for the reverse wireless charging - there are circumstances where it makes perfect sense to have it, but if you are not regularly facing those circumstances then it won't make a difference to you

Reverse wireless isn't only for other phones, can pop on ear pods that support it as well.

even your wireless charging compatible smartwatch if that is running out of battery while you are in a place that does not give you access to a wall charging point or cant even access a power bank till later to actually top up the phone so your excellent point stands

Yes, it is interesting, yes it looks good, yes it's near useless in the real world.
Send that clip to me on whatsapp or post it anywhere on social media.

Which works fine on just about any potato phone, even mine, ergo my initial post.

Brother, what circumstances are you in where you have to regularly reverse charge?
If you tell me there's a hottie that regularly needs to rub her phone against yours (which in turn charges the
@naughty001 battery)...I'd say get the plus ultra pro mega model.

All of the discourse regarding feature vs non-feature phones is making me wonder what the screen time is for those who advocating for feature phones are it the moment. You shills sound like reviewers and honestly horses for courses guys. No one needs 19 different pro level camera settings. Some of us just want a phone so people can contact us for whatever reason.

Are you lot even tracking the secondary markets out there? I literally just bought a second hand IP16 for a little more than a 16E brand new. So i can type this message. I have not even taken a selfie yet. You arent GSMArena, it isnt that deep.

I work so I don't have to buy secondhand phones thanks.

if i send you the youtube video link on whatsapp and you set it to play in 8k on your phone - it just wont play ..... and in native 1080p it wont look anywhere near as good - i connect the phone to my 4k TV and i can use it as a android media box - if i connect my USB-C Hub inbetween in the loop i can add hard drives to the hub and definitely use the phone as if its a higher end media player (way faster CPU and GPU than any known android media player and also 8GB of ram VS the 2GB you get in most media players) so it becomes way more multifunctional

Which works fine on just about any potato phone, even mine, ergo my initial post.

yes but the actual point we are making is that the apps you claim are unnecessary now that wont work on your phone could become just as necessary as whatsapp is currently, and you still refuse to acknowledge that fact or is it not clear enough to you - are we just typing too fast for you to catch on ..... d o - i - n e e d - t o - t y p e - l i k e - t h i s - f o r - y o u - t o - u n d e r s t a n d

we have pointed out that the reverse wireless works on anything that accepts wireless charging including earbuds and watches etc so if you are sitting somewhere where you don't have access to your charger or car charger till you get back to your car, you can actually charge these other ancillary devices and then charge the phone when you reach your wall charger or power bank or car charger ...... this is not rocket science and i fail to see whats so difficult about the concept

@naughty001 When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.

where is the slander? The actual point being made totally went over your head - in fact so much so that you carried on arguing the incidental side point and totally ignored the actual message being conveyed as if that was proving your point instead - thats a better signal toward sensing who is losing the actual debate

either way as i said above - there is no need for us to go around in circles - if the features that a phone has do not interest you then sure .... you are welcome to ignore it - guys like me cannot spend your money for you however we can decide what we like and spend our money accordingly ..... so in this instance the case of "you do you" applies totally and you are totally welcome to purchase the A25 and be happy with that it does for you

being sarcastic and questioning why we want and get the stuff we do is just as bad as me telling you that you are wasting your money on an entry level phone (which i never did) and insisting that you get a real phone instead of a dinky toy (lots of people on the other side buying the flagships tell the midrange guys that pretty regularly as if its proof of a lack of money) i don't want to be presumptuous of whatever you have and what you can afford so i will just say that you need to purchase and use whatever makes sense to you and you not need to justify your decision in a public forum because someone bought something better and also because most other people don't need to bother with your personal decisions ..... the thing is some of us are discussing tech which is the reason why the forum exists and not to discuss our net worths, so there never was a need to be sarcastic about the "hey - i don't need more than whatsapp anyway" thing to justify your purchasing decisions while we discuss what the item that has more features can actually do

@naughty001 Geez thats a lot of energy and passion you are putting into trying to change others minds

Do you own shares or something?

i am trying to change no-ones mind - i told him many times he must enjoy what he uses - never once was i being sarcastic when i said that - and show me where i said he needs to get rid of it and buy something better - i'm not ever going to act like those cants on the forum who have the really expensive phones telling someone else you are poor because they have a cheaper phone - even worse is the guys who have a cheaper phone than you have telling you that you have a cheap phone

we responded to his question - we gave him our point of view and he responded back asking "who would miss that" and the actual reply to that is plenty of people who are not him - what else is there to understand - as i stated its no rocket science - so where is the bit where i'm trying to change his mind

The irony.

what's ironic in saying that all the stuff you say you don't need now COULD become as essential to you as whatsapp currently is at some point in the future
