Saudi Arabia is going to have to get a net installed at their new track. Glad the guy survived but sheesh.
Sure but there's clearly some track changes needed...it shows how much car design has improved that you can actually survive

Is it just me, or does the entry point of the porche to the corner look like he wasn't on the track line either when entering the corners, seems inside of the actual track to the right, inside the curb? There was a fatal CART crash there in 1999.
So blocked pitlane exit could be a thing lolThe Madring pitlane is kind of bonkers...
from https://x.com/adamcooperF1/
"This view back from the exit line gives some indication of the length of the Madrid pit lane. A team member who just measured it confirmed that it's 550m - and the gap beween 'neighbours' @WilliamsRacing and @visacashapprb
is 150m...:"

"Here's another quirky thing at Madring. I'm standing in line with the P22 grid slot. The @Cadillac_F1 garage is almost half a kilometre away in the far distance. The guys have to get their pit trolleys back during the formation lap... It's going to be a race within a race!:"

"Another Madring quirk. The teams at the far end of the pitlane, notably @Cadillac_F1 and @AlpineF1Team, are right next to Turn 1 - which is usually hundreds of metres away. Nice view!:"

"The Madring pit exit completely by-passes Turns 1 and 2 - and drivers arrive here some distance after turning the pit limiter off. And it is very tight! One team confirmed to me that drivers will be accelerating then braking. So time to be gained...:"

Is this a circuit that is very dependent on the battery system?
Let's hope Red Bull can give Max a car to be in the mix with the other 3 teams. It shouldn't be a farce like Monza because there's lots of braking and no long straights.
If the F3 is anything to go by, there will be at least one red flag
