Yeah, it's weird. MotoGP does it too at the A1 Ring. They had to put a chicane in between corners 1 and 3 at the top of the hill after a horrific accident involving multiple riders, and instead of reclassifying the corners, they called the first part of the chicane 2A and the second part 2B.

You see you have no clue.
Its the start of the race, you want to hit that chicane perfect so you have good exit speed to challenge the cars ahead of you. No proper driver will expect a teammate to come make a ridiculous dive there so both cars gets compromised.

Al this just because you idiot teammate only know how to race in the front.
