Some games are better not made. Days Gone was nothing more than "alright" for me. The rest though, I agree.Days Gone 2
You yourself argued that these sort of titles are drawcards for the console and the "health" of it. I bought a PS4 for an exclusive. I bought a PS5 for an exclusive. I am sure millions have done the same. The cost shouldn't matter to the console owner, that is a matter for Sony to handle. And as for those 3 AAA games you mentioned - you do realise the cost of them these days?

Sony PlayStation digital game ownership lawsuit
Four California buyers sued Sony in 2026, alleging the PlayStation Store's "Buy Now" button does not sell digital games, only licenses them.consumerrights.wiki
When you do own your games but also don't own your games...
Calling it now after this lawsuit your next PSN purchase is going to say "Rent' instead of "Buy"

Very disappointing, still going to play it, but I reckon after this and my disappointment with Spiderman 2, I might be done with Insomniac games for now.Yeah reckon Skill-up lost their Sony access card for that one. IGN isn't any better.

A Meta in the 70's for a first party Sony Studio means no bonusses for them and no number 2 for you.WIll see if/when the next game drop.
I do want to say that Starfield has a Metacritic score of 83, and there is no chance in hell that Wolverine is worse than Starfield. So I don't trust the scoring too much.
Yeah my plan is to wait so that they can patch out the more egregious hand-holdy stuff, obviously the fundamental issues cant really be fixed.I watched the Skill Up review for Wolverine and it really put me off.
The blue line that marks where you need to go - in a linear level. The side levels where you pretty much hold forward and push jump occasionally. The secrets that are lit up like the beacons of Gondor. There is so much hand holding there, and I am a big fan of games that are on rails.
I might wait to see if they can set things right with a patch, but I still wonder what other problems there are.
I felt like the Spiderman games suffered heavily from open world syndrome - I had hoped a linear game would be a step up for them.
