No Man's Sky

My spawn was a system of 2 planets and a moon.... All anomalies. As in virtually zero necessary basic resources, highly radioactive and being pursued by sentinels.

Very recently started playing around in this universe, really not done much yet but am enjoying it.
Find the multitool amusing for getting places fast on a planet without having to worry about terrain too much although I have found myself falling into random caves while carving a tunnel in the direction of my target while running full tilt

Definitely an enjoyable game and am taking it a bit more seriously now, this and astro colony are the two space related games I am playing right now when I am in the mood for that type of thing.

For a moment I was wondering exactly how you were using the multitool as transport

You should check out the expedition when it launches (hopefully this weekend!!), will be available for 6 weeks and is usually a nice way to learn more about the game.

That was your starting spawn location for a new save? That's a bit rough! I used to restart if they didn't give me a cave nearby , early strategy always involved sheltering and mining in a cave.

Checked this morning on Xbox, update is out, and almost had a mini heart attack. Loaded clipped, inside my ship.... on both saves.

Google told me to place a couch and sit to clip out, lucky that saved me. Ready for expedition this weekend.
Yeah don't worry had a similar issue, although I couldn't use the couch trick to clip out as I can't build where I got stuck. In a settlement, under some stairs that has walls all around so no way to escape, had to reload a restore save. Didn't loose too much progress at least.

I would have been stuffed cause my restore was also stuck.

Worse case would have been to use my Switch save that I last used during prev Swarm Expidition.

I've had those clipping issues in the past so now I make sure I finish my session on a planet, in my base or at a space station. Never on my freighter or corvette, too many bad experiences in the past.

Somewhat related was a fun teleporting experience between pirate stations. Every time I teleported in I would start falling through the floor and had to remember to jetpack up to prevent it.

Expeditions is the one place where No man Sky needs Multiplayer to be off.

Esp lately where idiots build crap to block progress and such. I normally go totally offline for them
I played the last expedition twice with 2 friends and we turned multiplayer off and left the group when quest markers were acting up or people had messed with the area we needed to be in. We then reconnected after getting the task done but the rest of the time we managed okay in multiplayer. We are less-focused players though and are often off on our own resource gathering missions and not trying to speedrun the expedition

At least my ship needed minor change to add salvage section without affecting the aesthetics too much, just had to repurpose my medic hab :D

Also having large area to pick up so I can rip parts off and just "shoot" at my ship for speed.

This reminds me that I don’t think I have a corvette in my main save so now I have to try sort that out before I can try the new space salvage stuff! Corvette building still not my favourite and takes me too long to get something I like the look of.

After making a terrible looking corvette I decided to follow a YouTube build instead. Taught me a bit about which pieces/parts merge together and saw how they create the structure with habs and then remove them.
