I saw several of these in the cinama (I was young, years felt like decades ), but I don't think I ever realized they were all released in the same year before I encountered this book.

Just finished The Licanius Trilogy by James Islington, half read half audiobook, excellent story really enjoyed it.

Started memory sorrow and thorn series by Tad Williams, Still early days, audiobook isn't very good though, for some reason they have very loud background music/noise in some scenes, which it could honestly do without.

If you like Poirot I highly recommend the current play at the Pieter Toerien theatre. Watched "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" on Saturday and it was incredibly well done.

Finished the Strength of the few. First half was a bit of a mess imo, almost put it down, second half redeemed it. Not as good as the first book.

Anyway, onto Recursion. Also started listening to Children of Time.

Was a good noir murder mystery.
Books like these play like old school films in your mind.

So far so good.
a bit of "i'm a science teacher" repetition but the story is facinating.

Set in the First Law universe with Logan Nine-Fingers as the star. I've been listening to this with about 20% to go. Really good listen but feel it could be shorter as some sections do drag on a bit. Setting up for a good ending though.

Finished recursion, was quite enjoyable. Haven't decided what to read next, but the newest bobiverse is on audible so I've got something to listen to while traveling next week.
