RIP Charlie Kirk

Ah yes, disagree with him on one issue, and the entire man is written off. Nuance really is dead.
Not at all, but if he could ban the above that would be a stepping stone for something else to ban/allow until it gets out of hand.

That’s fair, but now we’re judging him on what he might hypothetically do next, rather than what he actually stood for. That was exactly my point about nuance.

Charisma alone isn't enough to make one a good president. There are many great examples; some orange and some firepools.
Charlie was 31. The median age of a US president taking office is around 55. That's more than two decades of potential growth, experience, and evolving views you're simply writing off. Nobody said charisma alone makes a good president... I said what a president he could have made.

I'm judging him because I think he would have been a kak President. Then again have way higher standards for people I want to be in charge of countries and schit

Yes still a nope

Fair enough. So who actually meets your standard? If the moral bar is that high, I'd genuinely like to know which politician you consider fit to be president.

I don't know but he came across as a little shallow. He knew how to work the crowd (which populist doesn't? There are many examples within the top 4 ZA political parties) but beyond that, he was ordinary like the rest of us.

Nobody meets the standard for a position with that much power over his fellow citizens.

But this is how it should be. A single position with that much power should remain vacant.

It's the pinnacle of central-planning hubris to aspire to keep appointing people in the hopes they turn out to be saints, with all that power.

All that power attracts the wrong crowd. The more power the worse the crowd. No single person is fit for that level of power over other equals.

Government works best when power is decentralized.

Currently there is not a single politician world-wide who would get snow from me in winter

In fact I think the entire lot should be sent off to the gallows. World would be a much better place without them
